Latest of the Ladies
Honey: How you feel about these half-shaved head chicks like Cassie and Rihanna?
Kelis: Well I was definitely the first to do it. The only other person I would give credit before me is Pepa. Other than that I expect them to copy me. What else are they supposed to do? They're young God bless them.
Honey: Who do you think did it best?
Kelis: Oh , I dont know , They're all duplicates (laughs)
Honey: Was it easy to lose the Baby weight?
Kelis: I was scared to death actually, but there was no way I wasnt losing that weight
FASHION SPOTLIGHT: NEVAEH JEANS COMPANY
Hey! Now We are back! Last interview we had was with model, Miss Inettia D. Williams. Jasmine Shanelle and myself both had the opportunity to interview with one of the most amazing upcoming clothing lines named Nevaeh Jeans. They have came along way within the six, soon to be seven years that they've been on the scene. They are very refreshing and one of the most creative lines that have come about. There are no comparisons!
Q: Who is the founder of NJC?
A: Brian L. Keitt
Q: There are a few others that work with him as well, Can you name them and tell us what part each of you play?
A: Corey is the CEO Chris is the COO and Boomer is like the CMO for the slow CEO= chief executive officer COO= chief operating officer CMO= chief marketing officer
*i might be one of the slow because that would've been my next question lol*
(left to right: Corey, Chris, Boomer, Brian is seated)
Q: When did NJC start?
A: Nevaeh was officially on the books as a company in 2003
Q: What motivated you to start the line?
A: The lack of creativity in the Fashion industry was the driving force behind bringing Nevaeh from the beginning stages of introduction to growth and maturity.
Q: When was your first fashion show and your first shoot?
A: Our first fashion show was in November 2005 at
Q: How was the first photo shoot and fashion show? We're y'all nervous?
A: When u put out a product whether your an artist model or whatever there is a sense of anxiousness because you hope people can appreciate your hard work. That never goes away regardless of how many shows and shoots we do. Both went very well. Its like bungee jumping you get the bubble guts up until you just jump but once you jump you can do it over and over again.
Q: Who are some of the models who have modeled for NJC?
A: We have work with a wide range of Models mostly friends or models starting their careers off the ground. For the sake of not leaving anyone out we will not name them but know that we love all of our models and will work with them again WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONE because of her unprofessionalism....
Jasmine Shanelle
Q: We've actually had the pleasure of shooting with NJC and it was a very easy going environment. Other shoots are so serious why have y'all chosen to go that route?
A: Our shoots are fun and easy going because thats how we are we like to interact w/ the models make them laugh. We have fun and get work done. If you work it like a drill sergeant you lose your models attention. Some of our best shots come out of the models laughing at something dumb behind the scenes. Next to hanging w/ us on a regular a shoot is your chance to be around Nevaeh in our true environment which is we LIKE TO JOKE AROUND.
Jaye Monique
Q: Back in June, NJC did a Redemption Shoot, what made it a redemption shoot and what were you being redeemed from?
A: hahahahahahahahaha well Redemption was a concept created after a shoot we here at the Nevaeh office would rather not speak on. We felt like we had to redeem ourselves it was like 1000+ pics taken in no exaggeration like 20 usable shots. It was like we had something to prove to ourselves. We like to refer to it as the shoot that never happened. The creativity wasn't there the models didn't capture the vision. In fact thats the shoot where we said we wouldn't work with a model ever again because of her unprofessionalism. hahahaha there's an inside joke we have about thundercats its related to that shoot. Wanna know how to NOT make another Nevaeh shoot act like
Q: Who actually comes up with the designs?
A: All Design and clothing work is the brain child of Brian everybody else keeps the business end of Nevaeh going. Y'all know any other designers wanting to intern tell 'em to holla at us
*INTERN ALERT: ANYONE WHO THINKS THEY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO DESIGN FOR NEVAEH, HIT THEM UP!!*
Q: Are they're any labels out right now that you look to for inspirations?
A: No there arent although Brian does respect what Ralph has brought to the industry his stuff is DOPE
Q: One of the your hoodies reads "Righteous, Rockstar, Love, Pain" what's the meaning behind those words?
A: Each word represents Brian's inspiration for the hoodie Righteous was his wording for staying true to himself, Rockstar how the image is portrayed that rockstars do what they wanna do thats how Brian designs his creativity knows no boundaries. Love is self explanatory and pain is the blood sweat and tears (eyes burning while bleaching jeans in a basement with no ventilation and then hanging the bleached jeans over the boiler didn't know but could of literally killed me n corey)
Q: I have never seen a duplicate NJC hoodie, are they all one of a kind?
A: The beginning hoodies were bc those were special pieces those are all 1 of 1 we may revisit that as special editions later on but your gonna have to pay for those
Q: Whats the thought process behind the designs? Do they just come to mind or does it start off with a concept?
A: its like an artist who composes, some stuff just comes its a God given gift you cant teach it only cultivate whats there
Q: Where do you see NJC in 5 years?
A: In five yrs Nevaeh Jeans will be an honorable mention in the fashion industry. We long term we envision ourselves trying to penetrate global boutiques with the mindset of opening our own store.
Q: What steps have you taken so far to get there?
A: We have participated in multiple fashion shows as well as had multiple campaign ads. We have also generated sponsorship letters that we will distribute to multiple fashion fwd magazines and influential people in the industry.
Q: You guys believe that there is a lack of creativity with the labels out now, if you could send a message to them what would you say?
A: Come aboard the Nevaeh band Wagon where like ghost writers we can make anyone's line better lol lol lol lol . Nah but seriously set the atmosphere and not trends

Just in case you missed Nicki Minja and Robin Thicke on 106 here it is!!
Nicki Looked Great and so did Robin. I love them both
Now for all my "MAC" lovers! Here is some Great NEW information
Mac is looking forward to a swirly, girlie spring line from M.A.C. Cosmetics. With that being said they have decided to do a makeup collaboration between the edgy makeup line and prepster designer Lilly Pulitzer, reportedly called M.A.C. in Lilly Land.
Reading along with stylist.com it is said that , Pulitzer joins a long list of famous M.A.C. collaborators -- most recently Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper for Viva Glam -- that are very different in their overall sensibilities: for example, this fall they collaborated with DSquared² whose downtown-favorite designs are worlds apart from Pulitzers' polo match-worthy prints.

THE QUEEN IS CROWNED
All I have to say is,.. DUHH! LOL
Y'all know I love me some Beyonce , she will alwayyss be on top!! <3
Here is a little talk from Billboard quoting beyonces win!
As Kanye West infamously pointed out at the 2009 VMAs, Beyonce made one of the best videos of all-time. "Out of all my videos, ("Single Ladies") was the least expensive and took the least amount of time, and it ended up being the most iconic," Billboard's 2009 Woman of the Year reflects. "But once we got on the set, it was like, wait a minute. This is something special." Not only did the ubiquitous clip inspire thousands of YouTube imitations, it also helped push her "I Am... Sasha Fierce" album to last over a year on the Billboard 200 chart.
Beyonce will always be on top , I think shes done enough already in her career that if she wanted to retire she would still be on top! Shes said to be coming out with another album before having kids. Now its time for her to Have babies! lol thenn.. its said that Jay-Z actually said they are ready to have kids. Ahh I love them , they're like the 'Golden Couple" lol

Sarah Jessica Parker Our Glam Girl
Sooo Yesss! My fab SJP is gracing the cover of the Dec.2009 Glamour Magazine Hunnie! lol she givess liffeee lol

Here are some of her secrets for Great style!

GLAMOUR: Well, you look great! Speaking of which, you are considered a style icon.
SJP: That’s hilarious.
GLAMOUR: But you are! So how would you characterize your own style?
SJP: I really love beautiful, well-made clothes. I don’t shop [a lot], so I tend to have pieces for a long time. I like mixing vintage with newer designers.
GLAMOUR: Flash back to 1984, when you were in Footloose. What were you wearing then?
SJP: In the eighties, I was wearing a lot of work boots and oversize men’s dinner jackets and floppy hats with flowers. I was making every mistake that was appropriate for the time. Eighty percent of pictures from that period deserve a cringe, but I don’t because I enjoyed it!
GLAMOUR: How would you say your style has evolved over the years?
SJP: It’s just simpler; I don’t buy anything trendy. I used to be more easily seduced by some momentary idea of what was fashionable. Now I’m slightly savvier. I still have the same ideas in my head about what looks good on me and what doesn’t. I still will not wear turtlenecks.
GLAMOUR: Why not?
SJP: I feel like I’m having a panic attack in them. I’m so short that the little bit of height I have is taken and consumed by the turtleneck. My son won’t wear them, either!
GLAMOUR: Tell us what you love wearing right now.
SJP: In the very casual department, two companies sent me jeans I wasn’t familiar with, and they’re really good: One is by a company called Closed. The other is Malibu, and they make jeans that have cashmere in them, but you can toss them in the wash. And I always reach for this black Guy Laroche dress that I’ve had for 10 years: I’ve worn it to birthdays, funerals, everything. I’ve never dry-cleaned it!
GLAMOUR: What’s the first thing you put on in the morning?
SJP: Whatever’s practical for being a mother. I walk my son to school, and I don’t want to embarrass him.
GLAMOUR: What’s your favorite store to find a bargain?
SJP: I still believe in thrift stores: It’s the one place you can be assured of finding something very unique.
GLAMOUR: Once upon a time, thrift stores were all you could afford—you grew up very modestly.
SJP: I feel lucky because [my background gave me] an appreciation for sitting here and having this tea and drinking out of this cup. I am not blind to it. I don’t want my children to feel they have a sense of entitlement. I want them to work hard and be challenged. That’s hard to do when you have everything you need and want, so I am working on those values all the time.
GLAMOUR: Where do you see your life in 10 years?
SJP: Being so greedy, I would like more of the same. Most important to me is my home life and the well-being of my children. Everything as it is now would be thrilling.

Above is a photo of her lastnight at the premiere of her movie "Did you hear about the morgans"
